Cellular Automata Cowl

ABOUT THIS PATTERN

Cellular Automata colorwork cowl is a snuggly 2-strand colorwork cowl worked in the round, with no seams.

One size

Gauge

13 stiches x 16 rows = 10cm/4” in colorwork pattern on larger needles.

Gauge is not critical in this project – deviations are possible.

However, a gauge of more than 15 stitches per 10x10cm is not recommended as it will make the cowl quite tight around the neck. Similarly, a row gauge of less than 15 rows per 10x10cm will result in an excessively long cowl, unless stitch gauge is similarly low resulting in a wider cowl that can accommodate the additional length.

Materials

Any bulky weight yarn or DK weight yarn held double that makes gauge, or thicker yarn, for a wider and longer cowl; 2 colors.

Approximately 240yds/220m of main color, 185yds/170m of contrast color, based on recommended gauge.
