Almost exactly a year ago I found myself wandering through the Breidagen (Dutch Knitting Days) in Zwolle for the first time as a new designer, wearing my Solitons Sweater, unsure of how to introduce myself. The stand that caught my greatest attention was Boredom Kills Design aka BKD Yarns out of Berlin. As I finally gathered up the nerve to say hello, before I had a chance to say anything, Dana, the dyer behind Boredom Kills, pointed at me boldly and asked, ‘Did you knit that sweater?’ Emboldened I said, ‘I DESIGNED this sweater!’ And the rest, as they say, is history <3
A year later, I am preparing to release my most ambitious patterns to date during Breidagen 2023, in collaboration with BKD Yarns.
Algorithmic Diva Bolero and Algorithmic Diva Bolero – Shorty were knit with an absolutely delicious combination of 3 different yarns from her selection: BKD Merino DK, BKD Merino Boucle, and BKD Kid Silk Lace.
